Guests at an Escondido motel were evacuated Friday morning after a fire started in one of the rooms.
At around 4:45 a.m., the fire alarm at the Hacienda Motel on North Broadway was triggered by a blaze in a room on the building's first floor. Firefighters quickly arrived and put out the fire; crews were able to prevent it from spreading to the second floor.
No one was hurt in the incident. The motel had recently been remodeled because of a previous fire.
No other information was available.
