Eater San Diego: Poway is Getting a Beer Garden

A round-up of the top food and drink stories of the week via Eater San Diego

Poway isn’t exactly known as a hub for craft beer in San Diego but, now, a new brew garden and eatery is moving into the neighborhood. Eater San Diego shares those details, plus other top stories of the week from our local food and drink scene.

Beer Garden and Kitchen Arriving in Poway
A craft beer-centric bar and eatery is coming to the community of Poway this spring. The Hop Stop – created by a local couple keen on the craft brew scene – will feature lots of San Diego taps, ample outdoor dining space, a family-friendly vibe and a kitchen cooking up salads, pizza, burgers, and more. The owners tell Eater they’re looking forward to bringing a beer-focused business to a community that remains relatively unsaturated, beer-wise.

10,000-Square-Foot Restaurant and Event Center Coming to Poway
The Florence will open next month in a Sabre Springs office park, bringing a large-scale restaurant, cocktail bar, cafe, and plenty of outdoor space to the neighborhood. Created by a local hospitality group, it will offer a sophisticated menu based on seasonal ingredients.

Opening in March, Del's Hideout will be the 23rd local eatery for the Cohn Restaurant Group. Offering everything from barbecue to burgers, the family-friendly hangout will have a high-tech twist, with call buttons installed at every table to expedite food orders.
