Pokemon GO Contest Coming to Chargers FanFest

Participants are eligible for prizes including preseason tickets and autographed merchandise.

The San Diego Chargers just gave you another reason to attend Fanfest 2016.

The Bolts are hosting a Pokemon GO meet-up during FanFest on Saturday at Qualcomm Stadium, the team announced Wednesday.

In addition to hosting an autograph signing session with former Charger greats, Qualcomm’s lower concourse will be open to Pokemon trainers looking for their next rare catch.

Participants in the Pokemon GO meet-up will be eligible for prizes including preseason tickets and autographed Chargers merchandise.

After intercepting a Pokemon of your own, screenshot your capture and upload it to Twitter or Instagram, add the hashtag #ChargersPokemon and tag @Chargers. Screenshots must include a recognizable element from FanFest.

Winners will be selected at random and announced Monday on Chargers.com. The Contest runs all day Saturday, August 6.

The parking lot opens to guests at 9 a.m. and the stadium gates open at 9:30 a.m.

The field and uppper levels of Qualcomm Stadium are closed to Pokemon GO players. For more information on the contest, click here.
