A 16-year-old boy from Paradise Valley, Ariz. was shot in the head Monday just before 2 a.m. after being robbed in front of 7366 El Cajon Blvd.
The boy was staying with his family at a La Mesa motel and was riding his skateboard nearby when the incident occurred. The suspects took a personal item and a small amount of cash during the robbery.
The bullet grazed his head and the boy was taken to Sharp Hospital. He is expected to live.
The boy’s father has been notified of the shooting.
La Mesa Police Detectives are not releasing any suspect information pending further investigation.
