Border Patrol Agents Rescue Man Lost in Ocotillo Desert

California Highway Patrol received a 911 call from a man who requested medical assistance saying he was lost

El Centro Border Patrol agents rescued a man lost in the desert south of Ocotillo who was experiencing severe heat distress Tuesday.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a 911 call from a man who requested medical assistance saying he was lost.

Border Patrol agents responded to an approximate location provided by CHP, and after a long search they found the man.

They administered first aid and were eventually joined by the elite Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue Unit (BORSTAR), who helped transfer the victim to the hospital.

The man’s condition is not known at this time.
