The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is hoping a newly released sketch of a man sought in a 12-year-old's kidnapping will help lead to a break in the case.
The drawing is of one of three men believed to have abducted the girl as she was walking home last week.
The girl told deputies she was approached Thursday by three Hispanic men around 5:30 p.m. near Scots Way and Midland Road in Poway. She said she was forced into a white box-typed utility van and driven around for a half an hour before being dropped off unharmed.
She described the men as approximately 20 to 30 years old. One alleged abductor had a "military-style" flat top haircut, a dark complexion, with a chipped front tooth and slanted teeth. The sketch released Monday is of the alleged driver, officials said.
