Seau's Home Sells for Nearly $2M

The Oceanside home of late football great Junior Seau has sold for nearly $2 million, according to our media partners the North County Times.

The home was placed on the market in July, nearly three months after the former Chargers linebacker was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest.

The three-bedroom home was sold Aug. 31. Seau paid over $3 million for the home in 2005.

In the weeks following Seau's death, fans and friends placed flowers outside his home on The Strand. His children visited the memorial shortly after. His mother also gave an emotional press conference in front of the house the day of his death.

It is not known at this time who bought Seau's home.
