A man who barricaded himself inside a Lemon Grove home on suspect of being suicidal was taken into custody without incident, according to officials.
At around 1:30 p.m. the sheriff's department received a call of a possible suicidal man. Nearby residents said they heard a shot around the 7900 block of Mount Vernon and Skyline, according to the sheriff's department.
Deputies are unsure if gunfire was shot by the suspect.
Mt. Vernon Elementary was temporarily put on lockdown, but it was lifted by 2:30 p.m.
