Police Searching for Suspects in Encinitas Liquor Store Burglary, $1,000 Reward Offered for Information

Up to $1,000 is being offered for information related to the suspects that robbed a liquor store in Encinitas.

The public was asked to help find two men suspected of robbing a liquor store in Encinitas, with investigators offering a $1,000 reward for information.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators are looking for the culprits in a robbery that took place just after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13. It happened at the Village Spirit Shop on 1552 Encinitas Boulevard, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's department (SDSO).

A pair of men threw a rock through the front window, breaking into the store. According to SDSO, the robbers stole cigarettes, money and broke numerous liquor bottles, causing a total estimated loss of $15,000.

The first suspect appeared to be a 25-year-old Hispanic man, standing 5'9'' tall and weighing about 240 pounds, according to SDSO. He was described as having a goatee, and was last seen donning a gray beanie and long sleeve sweatshirt with black pants and tennis shoes.

A second suspect was described as a 25-year-old African American or Hispanic man, standing 6' tall and weighing about 180 pounds, said SDSO deputies. He was wearing a baseball cap with a white bill, a blue hoodie and black tennis shoes.
