Girl, 9, Struck by Car

Officials say the girl has life-threatening injuries

A 9-year-old girl was hit by a car in San Marcos Monday afternoon, according to officials.

The incident happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. on the 400-block of North Twin Oaks Valley Road.

Deputies said that a white Infiniti G35 was traveling northbound when the child ran out into the roadway. The car then hit the girl, causing her serious injuries. 

Medics were requested for the victim and she was transported by Life Flight to Rady Children's Hospital.
