A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing westbound Interstate 8 at Mission Center Road Sunday evening, California Highway Patrol confirmed.
Three out of four lanes have been closed, according to Caltrans. The left lane has reopened to traffic.
The crash happened around 9:44 p.m. and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
