Employees of a Mira Mesa restaurant were closing early Monday when they were robbed by a man carrying a gun.
San Diego Police investigators say the suspect came through an open back door of the El Patron Mexican Grill on Mira Mesa Boulevard near Westview Parkway, east of Interstate 15.
The robbery happened just after midnight when the restaurant was closed, police said.
Employees described the suspect as in his late 20's, about 5-feet 6-inches tall, skinny with a black bandana over his face, a black and white striped dress shirt, gloves and jeans.
Police didn't release how much money was stolen.
