Several apartments in San Diego were flooded after a motorist hit a hydrant near their homes.
Emergency workers are having trouble shutting off the flow of water in the 5500 block of Balboa Arms Drive. According to the fire department, a driver hit a hydrant near the Garden Apartments shortly after 10:30 a.m.
Firefighters said six apartments were flooded.
Workers were finally able to turn off the supply of water at a little after 1 p.m.
