Fatal Stabbing in City Heights

Police said one victim was stabbed on 49th Street and died from injuries

A stabbing in City Heights Friday night left one man dead at the scene.

Police said the fatal stabbing happened near an apartment complex at the 4000 block of 49th Street around 9:30 p.m.

Residents from the complex told police they went outside and found a male victim lying down in the driveway. They picked up the injured man, carried him into an apartment and called 911.

When paramedics arrived, they attempted to save the fatally injured victim, but were unable to do so. He died at 9:50 p.m., according to authorities.

Police found no suspects at the scene and said they have no suspect descriptions to go off at this time.

The motive for the stabbing remains unknown and the case is being investigated as a homicide.

A report by the medical examiner revealed the victim was 21-year-old Jaime Bravo, Jr.

Bravo was a student at San Diego City College.
