A brush fire was reported in Escondido Tuesday behind an apartment complex.
The fire was reported at 1350 Morning View Drive just after 2 p.m., according to Escondido police.
Escondido police said the building was evacuated while firefighters fought the canyon fire.
Morning View Drive was closed to traffic while fire crews finished mopping up the area. There is no word on a cause.
