A 21-year-old man was shot and killed outside of a home in Chula Vista Saturday, said police.
The victim, Jared Alvarez, was with friends outside of a home on the 100-block of E Street around 12:45 a.m. Police say a gunman got out of the back seat of a grey or white compact car and opened fire. The car then fled west bound on E St.
According to witnesses, the shooter may have gotten out of the back seat.
Its unknown if there was anyone else in the car other than the shooter and driver. There is no suspect description of the suspects other than they were males.
There is no known motive for the shooting.
