The driver of a Silverado who was hit and killed by an out-of-control Ryder box truck has been identified, the Medical Examiner's office said.
Jorge Flores, 32, was an El Cajon resident. He died of extensive blunt force injuries, the M.E. said.
32-year-old Solomon Henderson of La Mesa was driving a Ryder moving truck westbound on I-8 at El Cajon Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Thursday in La Mesa. Witnesses said a dark red car cut off the truck, sending it out of control until it landed right on top of the Chevy Silverado. Flores and Henderson both died in the accident.
The driver who caused the accident faces hit and run charges and possibly manslaughter charges, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Pennings.
