An 8-year-old was struck by a vehicle in a hit and run in El Cajon Friday evening.
According to Heartland Fire officials, the crash occurred at 4:24 p.m. on E Madison Avenue and Orlando Street.
The child, initially reported to be 10-years-old, suffered minor abrasions.
El Cajon Police (ECPD) said the driver, a man, was arrested about two blocks down Orlando Street for a felony hit-and-run.
No other information was available.
