San Diego police arrested one person at the scene of a motel fire in Point Loma Thursday evening.
At 6:55 p.m., multiple fire crews responded to fight the flames coming from the Ebb Tide Motel at 5082 W. Point Loma Boulevard.
Fire officials said they saw a moderate amount of smoke coming from the building when they arrived.
They managed to extinguish the fire in about 20 minutes.
One person was taken into custody at the scene, but it’s unclear why.
No further information was released.
