One Killed When Ford GT Driven by Salma Hayek's Brother Crashes With Pickup

A passenger in the two-seat sports car was kiled when it collided with a pickup on LA's Westside, police say

One person was killed when a Ford GT driven by the brother of actress Salma Hayek Monday morning was involved in a crash with a pickup Sunday evening on Sunset Boulevard.

The crash occurred in the Beverly Crest area on Los Angeles' Westside at about 5 p.m. The driver of the 2006 Ford GT was identified as 40-year-old Sami Hayek, according to police.

A passenger in the mid-engine, two-seat Ford sports car was killed in a head-on collision with a Toyota Tacoma pickup, police said. The 43-year-old victim, a resident of Mexico whose name was not released, died at the scene.

Hayek, a Los Angeles-based designer of custom chairs, suffered broken ribs and cuts to the head, police said.

The 20-year-old pickup driver suffered a broken foot, according to police.
