Voyeur Announces New Restaurant, Revolver

Did you know that house music mecca Voyeur served food? Yah, we didn’t either. So we sat down with the nightclub’s Director of Public Relations, Ashlyn Zarr, to get an exclusive look into their new restaurant concept, Revolver.

So, food huh? And here we were grabbing a slice from Gaslamp Pizza before Calvin Harris.

Yah, we’ve had food the entire time we’ve been open! Our Executive Chef, Kari Rich, is actually incredibly good, but we just had people sit at these low bottle service tables from the nightclub, and it was really dark and uncomfortable. So we officially shut down their kitchen a couple weeks ago to focus on redesigning the whole restaurant concept.

So what can we expect from this new design?

It’s still going to be a really intimate dining experience—we’re a small club—but we’ll have custom-designed tables that will make the transition from restaurant to nightclub really smooth. We also have a lighting specialist coming in to make the ambience softer and more inviting for Revolver.

What’s the capacity going to be? Should we make reservations now?

We’ll only have about eight booths and four high-tops, so it will be an exclusive dining experience. And it's first come, first served.

Are you keeping the small plates-style menu from before?

Yes! We want to have people order a bunch of things to share, kind of like tapas, but with sliders and flatbreads and things of that nature. We’ll also have these really unique menus that you fill out yourself at the table.

Like a sushi menu, with those cute little pencils?

Exactly! You’ll be able to circle the number of portions for your group, and all the dishes you’d like to try. Then your server will take that and your drink orders.

Speaking of cocktails, any new Revolver recipes you can reveal?

Not yet, but we’ll definitely have great happy hour specials and a lot of new specialty cocktails for Revolver. We’ll let you know as soon as we do!

Ready, aim, fire... Revolver will officially open to the public December 15, serving food Wednesday through Saturday, 5-9 p.m.
