Sounds Like San Diego: July 9

If you like hushed singer/songwriters a la Sufjan Stevens, you will love Angelo De Augustine

There are some record labels whose rosters are so limited but consistent, and you can trust that anyone they sign will be solid. Such is the case with Asthmatic Kitty, and if you like hushed singer/songwriters a la Sufjan Stevens, you will love Los Angeles native Angelo De Augustine. He self-released an album and EP before being signed to the label and makes his Casbah debut tonight. At Soda Bar, catch TWRP, a self-described "elite squad of rockstars from the future," or see Coral Bells play Bar Pink.

Monday, July 9:

  • Angelo De Augustine, Many Rooms @ Casbah
  • TWRP, Planet Booty, JP Incorporated @ Soda Bar
  • Coral Bells @ Bar Pink
  • Electric Waste Band @ Winston's
  • Makossa Mondays with DJ Tah Rei @ Seven Grand

  • San Diego Poetry Slam @ Queen Bee's
