It's Tuesday in San Diego, and I don't know about you, but it really feels like summer is in full swing here in town. The fair and Con are gone, but the races are just around the corner, and there's just a whole lot of great stuff to jump into. Tuesday, country singer Kevin Fowler performs at the Belly Up, while Barrington Levy brings his dancehall and reggae jams to the Observatory. The Merrow keeps it local with the Lexicons, while the Voodoo Room at House of Blues welcomes up-and-coming alt-rock with Young Rising Sons, Hunter Hunted and Dreamers, and Soda Bar hosts screamo band Ice Hockey. No surprise, however, that I'll be at Cayucas at the Casbah. This little indie band has some great and catchy songs, and I'm just waiting to see them break through to the masses. Maybe Tuesday is the night for that to happen, but if not, I'll be bopping my head along all the same.
