Sockers Beat Fury in OT, Extend Win Streak to 14

The Fury played the Sockers tough for the fourth time this season.

As Landon Donovan said after the game, it's not always pretty, but his club got the job done Sunday.

The Sockers trailed for much of their visit from Ontario. But a late comeback was punctuated in overtime with a winner by Kraig Chiles, off a feed from Donovan.

San Diego won 7-6 to extend its win streak to 14 games.

The close call is nothing new against the Fury. Each of their four previous contests were decided by two goals are fewer. San Diego has won them all.

Chiles' goal was his 21st goal of the season, and fifth game winner of the year.

San Diego trailed 6-4 in the fourth quarter. Chiles and Leonardo De Oliveira scored to force the extra session.

The Sockers stay at home this week. They host Dallas Friday at 7:35 p.m.
