San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival 2011

Wouldn’t it be nice to serve Thanksgiving dinner with this year’s most up-to-date food trends?

This fall, from November 16th-20th, the 8th annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival, the largest wine and food festival in the country, will be teaching wine and food connoisseurs how it’s done.

If you are a wine connoisseur and a lover of gourmet bites, here’s your chance to be in the company of 170 wineries, 70 of San Diego's top high end restaurants, and 30 fine dining food companies.

America’s top celebrity chefs and culinary personalities travel to this event to give wine and food fanatics a week long course on the latest culinary developments. Mixologists, spirit vendors, winemakers, and chefs offer innovative trends and recipes so that you can be the star of this year’s upcoming holiday parties.

This year in particular, on November 12th, a culinary outing to Rancho La Puerta is the perfect appetizer to ease your way into the festival. This excursion features the Wine Spectator Celebrity Chef Luncehon & Big Bottle Auction with nationally acclaimed chefs like Gale Gand.

There is a wide array of events and packages to choose from for the weeklong festival. Featured packages include cooking classes taught by celebrity chefs, wine tasting exercises, WineRave 2011, an elegant Reserve & New Release Tasting, and a chance to win $50,000 for being this year’s “Chef of the Fest”. Hotel and ticket packages are also available, which offer hip food-prep connoisseurs the opportunity to stay at modern San Diego hotels.

Produced by the World of Wine Events, and Fast Forward Event Productions, this Festival has raised over $180,000 in scholarships towards The American Institute of Wine & Food.

Proceeds go towards culinary and enology scholarship programs for San Diegan professionals and students.
