Latitude 32 in Pacific Beach is forking over a beer for a buck Wednesday to buy books for children in poor countries like Nepal and Laos.
"This sounds like a lot of fun," comments Brandyn on Yelp. com.
It's the second event of its kind for the charity Room to Read. Former Microsoft exec John Wood founded the organization after a hiking trip in Nepal. There he visited a school of 200 kids but their libarary only had 30 books, so the idea for Room to Read was born. "
Beers for Books starts at 7 p.m. with last call at 11:45p.m. Every beer buys a book for a child, so drink up.
