Del Mar Opening to Be Burger Lounge's 10th Location

San Diego-based Burger Lounge is scheduled to open its 10th company restaurant April 18 at Flower Hill Promenade in Del Mar.

It is the seventh San Diego County location for the firm, which has three restaurants in the Los Angeles area. President and CEO J. Dean Loring said in a statement that the Flower Hill location is also its first in North County.

The new 1,200-square-foot restaurant is at 2710 Via De La Valle, with a total of 55 seats, including inside and patio seating.

Burger Lounge was founded in 2007 by Loring and Michael Gilligan, with the fast-casual restaurants featuring grass-fed beef burgers, organic ketchup and other specialty and sustainable items.

It is among several new businesses joining the lineup this year at Flower Hill Promenade, which recently completed a $30 million renovation that included the addition of a Whole Foods Market.
