Tuesday night's Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers show has been canceled, according to Live Nation.
Tour officials said the band, which was to perform with ZZ Top, is rescheduling the show.
The concert was scheduled for Tuesday night at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater, but the singer/guitarist canceled the Chula Vista show due to a sinus and throat infection. Officials with Live Nation said the concert will take place next Tuesday, Oct. 5, instead.
Tickets for this week's show will be honored next week, according to Live Nation.
"Tom's doctors have advised him not to perform for the next few days but expect that he will be fully recovered for shows this coming weekend," a news release issued by Live Nation said.
A show on Sunday night in Phoenix was also canceled and is now set for next Thursday.
