Sounds Like San Diego: January 1

Some of San Diego's finest bands come together at SILO in Maker's Quarter to kick off the New Year

We typically take the day off, but there are a few interesting shows going on and it's been a while since New Year's Day, typically a day everyone shuts down, has fallen on a Friday. Up at the Belly Up, Nahko & Medicine For the People return after a show earlier this year at the Observatory North Park. Old Harbor Distillery is throwing a fundraiser at SILO at Maker's Quarter with local acts like Wild Wild Wets, Jimmy Ruelas, Dani Bell & the Tarantist, the Lulls, Diamond Lakes, and others. At Symphony Hall, enjoy a symphonic pleasure with Salute to Vienna, and then some usual suspects around town with music at Croce's, Humphreys Back Stage, and Winston's. Many of your usual venues are closed tonight, but your dives will still be open. If you opted out of NYE, you can still get out and have a great time tonight.
