Jeanette Quezada

Jeanette Quezada is a bilingual reporter at NBC 7 San Diego and Telemundo 20 San Diego, dedicated to telling stories that inform, uplift, and connect communities.

Jeanette joined the San Diego stations from KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she covered major breaking news, including the Tulsa mass shooting at the Natalie Building on the campus of Saint Francis Health System. She also reported extensively on severe weather events, from snowstorms and flooding to the aftermath of destructive tornadoes.

Before Tulsa, Jeanette reported and anchored at KBAK-TV in Bakersfield, California, and worked as a multiplatform reporter at KEZI 9 News in Eugene, Oregon. During her time in Oregon, she produced special reports from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee, where she interviewed patients and families and later helped promote a fundraising campaign supporting the search for cures for childhood cancer.

Jeanette began her television career in the newsroom at NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth after graduating from Texas Christian University’s Bob Schieffer College of Communication. In Texas, she worked as a consumer investigative producer for both NBC and Telemundo, mediating viewer complaints and working closely with public officials and company representatives to help resolve community concerns.

Jeanette believes in the power of storytelling. She understands that our shared history is woven from the narratives journalists capture over time. Stories transcend generations, cultures, and backgrounds — and at their best, they connect us. Her mission is to use journalism as a platform to enrich, educate, and inform every viewer she serves.

A Texan by birth and Italian at heart, Jeanette was born and raised in Fort Worth and is proud of her Mexican heritage. She grew up speaking Spanish at home and frequently visiting family in Chihuahua, Mexico. She later spent extended time in Italy during a study abroad program, where she became fluent in Italian.

In her spare time, Jeanette enjoys reading, running, exploring new places, meeting new people, and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to serve the San Diego community and looks forward to sharing meaningful stories that matter. If you have a story idea or would like to connect, reach out to her via social media or email.
