The San Diego Sicilian Festival is this weekend, May 20 in Little Italy from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Whitney Southwick spoke to event spokesperson, Bernadette Tarantino about the celebrations.
Little Italy will be buzzing with activity Sunday when the 19th Annual Sicilian Festival heads to the neighborhood.
The free event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and highlights all things Sicilian, including music and delicious food.
Additional highlights at the event will include a grape-stomp, a pasta eating contest and a live stage devoted to opera, among other entertaining musical acts.
There will also be a slew of Italian-brand automobiles on display for motorheads to drool over.
Topping off the fest will be a Peroni beer garden, an Italian culture and history zone and shopping bargains on Italian-themed goodies.
