Foodie Fodder: Old Town ‘Grub Sprawl'

The walking food tour through 10 Old Town restaurants is on July 9

Old Town San Diego is known for its lively landscape and historic buildings but on Monday, it will become a munching mecca for local foodies.

The “Grub Sprawl” walking food tour is happening in Old Town from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. that night.

The event features 10 participating Old Town restaurants serving up specials for around $5 per dish.

Attendees can pick up a free wristband for the event at Miguel’s Cocina at 2444 San Diego Ave. starting at 5:45 p.m. From there, foodies can hop to different eateries to sample Old Town’s finest fare.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Miguel’s Cocina
  • El Agave
  • Casa Guadalajara
  • Barra Barra Salooon
  • El Fandango
  • O’Hungry’s
  • 25forty Bistro & Bakehouse
  • Harney Sushi
  • Crazee Burger
  • The Cosmopolitan Hotel

Tasty dishes on the menu include a “Grub Sprawl Sampler” featuring mango seabass ceviche at Barra Barra Saloon and chicken mole at El Fandango.
