Salsa night every Friday helps provide free dance lessons for kids.

Salsa dancers at Tango del Rey host Salsa night every Friday and a portion of the proceeds go to teach at-risk kids dance lessons.

Dancing After School (DAS) receives 30% of the proceeds of Friday nights, doors open at 6 p.m. at the studio.

The evening includes beginner level Salsa dance lessons, as well as intermediate and advanced. Parking is free and the cover charge is $10.00.

DAS is a non-profit organization in San Diego that provides dance instruction after school. DAS statistics show that 87% of juvenile crimes are between 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and they hope to diminish the percentage.

About 1,3000 children receive lessons through DAS, and there are currently 10 schools on the waiting list.
