Chicanoholics Anonymous

Launch yourself into "Mextasy!" at Chicanoholics Anonymous.

Mextasy is a traveling art show/exhibit based on the work of William "Memo" Nerriccio and Guillermo Nericcio Garcia. The show has travelled throughout the Southwest.

The shows creators say it expands upon the artist's 2007 book, Tex[t]-Mex: Seductive Hallucinations of the Mexican in America.

The official launch party, called Chicanoholics Anonymous, will be a filled with readings and live music. The main event is Thursday, Sept. 8 from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Guests of honor at the launch party shindig include Gustavo Arellano, of Ask a Mexican Fame; Josh Kun, author of Audiotopia, artist Bill Nericcio, and live music by Los Hollywood.

The exhibit is on display September 1 - 10 at the Centro Cultural de la Raza in Balboa Park.
