    It's funny how Scrooge isn't nearly as mean and the ghosts aren't quite as spooky when they're in the Mickey Mouse version of "A Christmas Carol." But it's still a great alternative to reading the Charles Dickens novel and will certainly get you in the spirit of the season.

Other movies opening: The Lovely Bones, NINE and Up in the Air.
