Greg Bledsoe is a reporter and photographer for NBC 7 San Diego and most recently he takes over as NBC 7 San Diego’s new weekend meteorologist.
The Colorado native is a graduate of the University of Colorado's School of Journalism who completed post-graduate work in meteorology through Mississippi State University's Broadcast Meteorology Program.
Greg arrived at NBC 7 San Diego in 2001 fresh out of college as a writer and associate producer with a goal to tell stories.
"Telling stories is what I love to do," says Greg, "I love to shoot, write and edit, and have a hand in every step through the process."
Greg has won multiple national awards from the National Press Photographer's Association, including finishing as runner-up for the NPPA's National Solo Video Journalist of the year award. He is also a multi Emmy award winner for writing, editing and reporting, three of which were awarded recently in 2011. In 2010 Greg was honored with the Golden Mic for editing, and honored by the San Diego Press Club for reporting and photography.
Greg currently lives in San Diego with his wife Jessica whom he met in college.
"It's hard to imagine a better place to live, and to be able to do what I want to do in a place like this is really pretty amazing."
