Raiders Cut 21 But Still Need to Cut More

The Oakland Raiders trimmed 21 players from their roster, including two-year starting defensive end Jay Richardson.
Center Chris Morris, who started 10 games at center and guard for Oakland in 2009, also was among those cut.

Wide receivers Todd Watkins and Shaun Bodiford, safety Jerome Boyd, quarterback Colt Brennan, defensive linemen Chris Cooper, Alex Daniels, Grayson Gunheim and William Joseph, fullbacks Luke Lawton and Manase Tonga, linebackers David Nixon and Slade Norris, tight end John Owens, offensive linemen Alex Parsons and Brandon Rodd, defensive back Joe Porter, cornerback Joe Thomas and kicker Swayze Waters were also released.

The Raiders have to make one additional roster move before today's 3 p.m. PDT deadline to reach the NFL's 53-player limit.
