Power Restored in Coronado

A power outage in Coronado left thousands of residents without service Wednesday night.

According to San Diego Gas and Electric, the power outage was reported around 8:30 p.m.

SDG&E said approximately 1,775 customers were without power from the Coronado Cays area to Imperial Beach.

Power was restored by approximately 10:30 p.m.

SDG&E said the outage was caused by a suspected problem in the overhead electrical system.
