A Temecula man who used a truck rental company to move marijuana across the U.S. will spend a decade behind bars.

David Jeffery Barragan, 42, pleaded guilty in Jan. 2011 to charges that he directed others to build hidden compartments inside the trucks at Penske Truck Leasing.

Barragan then admitted that he used those trucks to send marijuana to places like Kentucky, Texas and Illinois.

Using this system, Barragan distributed more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana in 2008.

On Monday, the former truck rental agency manager was sentenced to serve 120 months in custody.
