Police are asking for the public’s help to solve a hit-and-run accident in Escondido that left a 14-year-old in serious condition.
The teen was walking between Washington Ave. between Hickory and Juniper at about 2:45 p.m. last Wednesday.
“He was struck by a white vehicle, possibly a Nissan Maxima,” Officer Michael Guerrero said.
The driver fled the scene.
“The passenger side mirror from the suspect vehicle was left in the roadway at the scene of the accident,” Officer Guerrero said.
The teen is in very serious condition at Children's Hospital, police said.
