Shacknai May Return to Work Soon

The pharmaceutical tycoon said he wants to return to his company

    Jonah Shacknai, the boyfriend of a woman who was found dead inside Spreckels Mansion in Coronado, said he will return to work soon during a company conference call.

    Shacknai is the founder and chairman of Medicis Pharmaceuticals and his company has been approached about a possible sale. A company called Valeant Pharmaceuticals have talked to him about selling, according to Wall Street Journal.

    Rebecca Zahau, girlfriend of Jonah Shacknai, was found dead on July 13, two days after Jonah's 6-year-old son, Max Shacknai, sustained what would ultimately be fatal injuries when he fell down stairs inside the historic Spreckels Mansion in Coronado. (Published Thursday, Jul 21, 2011)

    Last month, Shacknai's girlfriend Rebecca Nalepa was found hanging from a balcony in his mansion with her hands and feet bound in a violent, suspicious manner. Sheriff's investigators still aren't sure if the death was a homicide or a suicide.
