A broken and blowing gas line caused a gas leak in a Rancho Penasquitos neighborhood Thursday morning, officials said.
Just before 9:30 a.m., the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD) was called to 14779 Caminito Orense Oeste for reports of a gas leak. SDFD spokesperson Lee Swanson said crews found a broken gas line in the residential area.
San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) was called out to the street to help stop the leak. By 10:25 a.m., the gas had been turned off, officials said.
No other information was immediately available.
