Power Outage Strikes SD Neighborhoods

More than 1,000 customers have been affected

More than 2,000 customers have been affected by a power outage in Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, North San Pasqual, Escondido and Valley Center, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

Power went out around 3:30 p.m. in the coastal areas, and just before 4 p.m. inland.

Officials believe power went out because of a suspected problem in the overhead electrical system.

Many San Diego residents are not only experiencing a power outage, but also stormy weather.
