Police Catch Alleged Trolley Thieves in Encanto

A group of alleged thieves accused of robbing trolley passengers were arrested Wednesday night.

Police say the suspects – two males and a female – robbed four passengers who were waiting for the trolley at 62nd and Atkins Ave.

Three of the robbery victims took the trolley to Lemon Grove to call police.

A trolley security officer arrived at the scene of the fourth robbery and pepper sprayed the suspects until officers with the San Diego Police Department could arrive to assist with arrests.
