    Paramedics were called out to Golden Hill Tuesday evening to help a man stung by bees 20-to-30 times.

    Police got a call of a tree down, just south of Balboa Park and arrived to find the man suffering from the bee stings, according to the San Diego Police Department.

    Greg and Jenny Merino helped a man stung repeatedly by bees Tuesday evening by calling paramedics and taking him inside. Tony Shin spoke with the Merinos about the horrifying experience.

    A hive was inside the tree, and the bees began attacking the man as he rode his bicycle nearby.

    "He was just absolutely frantic because they were all over him they were in his hair," said Greg Marino.

    The victim is expected to survive, according to officials.
