Suspect Accused in Campus Rape

NBCSanDiego

A suspect is in custody for allegedly attacking and raping a woman on the San Diego City College campus.

San Diego Police got a call from campus officers around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday from a woman who reported she was sexually assaulted on B Street. Just after the call, officers saw a man running from the direction of the attack and were able to catch him.

The victim, in her 20’s, was able to positively identify her alleged attacker and he was taken into custody.

Investigators were looking for a possible second suspect. A janitor on campus said he saw a second man running from the scene.

The victim, who is not a student at the college, was taken to UCSD Medical Center. She had some minor injuries to her face, police said.
