San Diego County sheriff's deputies are looking for two people responsible for a stabbing that happened overnight along Hilltop Drive in Lemon Grove.

Originally the call came out as a shooting but once officers arrived on scene, they determined someone was stabbed.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries appear to be serious but deputies would not release his condition.

One person of interest is described as 5 feet, 9 inches, weighing 220 pounds, with short buzzed hair and last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.

The other person of interest is believed to be in his 20s.
