Dalila has strengthened into a hurricane as it moves away from Mexico's Pacific coast and is expected to weaken again.
The storm Tuesday had maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.
It's centered about 190 miles west-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, and is inching toward the west-northwest.
Manzanillo is located south of Puerto Vallarta.
The government of Mexico has issued no storm warnings or watches for the coast.
Dalilia was expected to bring winds and rain accumulations of 1 to 3 inches to the country's coastline.
The biggest danger is heavy surf and rip currents.
