A house burned in the College Area Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.

Firefighters responded to the blaze shortly after 9:45 a.m. at 70th Street near Colony Road. It took 6 minutes to knock down the flames.

Smoke could be seen coming from a rear window and roof, according to officials.

The cost of the damage is $150,000 and the cause was determined to be a floor furnace.
