Man Pistol-Whipped in Gaslamp Fight

San Diego police were called when a fight among a group of acquaintances got out of hand Wednesday.
One man was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face after a fight broke out at 7th and F Streets around 1:30 a.m.
Officers say the man was riding in a car with a woman when they saw two men they knew.
Once the car was stopped, the man in the car was pistol-whipped.
The woman left the scene and the men who initiated the fight got away police said.
